ScissorTail Outfitters was founded by avid fishermen and outdoor enthusiasts who want to grow the sport and provide the best service, knowledge and products available from around the world to the fly fishing community.

So often fly fishing is only associated with the pursuit of trout, and while much of the history and foundation of the sport is grounded in this, so much more is available to those who pick up a fly rod.  Don’t get us wrong we love fishing for Cutthroats in Montana, taking a trip to the Lower Mountain Fork, or chasing White River pigs in Arkansas, but there is so much more work to do!  If a species or a location can be fished, it can and should be fished on the fly.  Smallmouth, Largemouth, Striper, Carp, Sunfish, golf course ponds, neighborhood ponds, rivers, lakes, drainage ditches, fish em all!  Last but not least, Oklahoma is ideally centrally located to attack destinations as well.  The Rockies, The Ozarks, The Gulf all reachable in a days drive.
